Preorder messaging tells shoppers when an unavailable product can still be ordered. The app currently supports full-payment preorder messaging and excludes partial-payment deposits.
Enable preorder for a product or variant
- Open Preorders in the app.
- Select the eligible product or variant.
- Enable the preorder rule and configure the message, cart label, availability date, and optional quantity limit.
- Save and test the product page while the variant is unavailable.
Storefront behavior
Preorder text appears on the product page itself, not only inside the notification modal, so shoppers can see preorder availability before interacting with the widget.
Operational note
Merchants are responsible for fulfillment promises, preorder terms, and customer support for preorder purchases.
