The storefront widget is installed through a Shopify theme app block. It is designed for Online Store 2.0 product templates.
Install the product block
- Go to Online Store > Themes > Customize.
- Open the default product template.
- Add the Back in Stock app block below the buy buttons.
- Save the theme.
What shoppers see
The widget can show a Wishlist button and a Notify me button. When a product variant is unavailable, Notify me opens a modal where shoppers can request an email or browser push alert. Preorder messaging appears on the product page only when preorder is enabled for that product or variant.
Customization
Merchants can customize labels, colors, button style, wishlist link visibility, low-stock messaging, and channel availability from app settings and the theme block settings.
