Bodanu Back in Stock Data Processing and Consent
Last updated: June 12, 2026
This page explains the data processing and shopper consent controls available in Bodanu Back in Stock.
Restock alert consent
When a shopper submits a restock signup, the app records the product, variant, email address, visitor token, locale, selected notification channel, and consent timestamp. The signup is product-specific and should not be treated as broad marketing consent unless the merchant separately collects that consent.
Unsubscribe and preference management
Notification emails include a secure preference link. Shoppers can unsubscribe from all channels for that alert, choose supported channels, or delete the alert data associated with the preference link.
Wishlist data
Wishlist items are associated with a browser visitor token and, when available, shopper email or customer context. Merchants can use wishlist data to understand product demand. Shoppers can remove individual wishlist items or clear the wishlist from the wishlist page.
Browser push consent
Browser push requires explicit browser permission. If a shopper denies permission, the app cannot send browser push notifications. Shoppers can also revoke push permission from their browser settings.
Klaviyo sync
When a merchant connects Klaviyo, the app can sync restock subscribers as Klaviyo profiles and optionally add them to a selected list. This sync does not automatically grant unrelated marketing consent. Merchants should configure Klaviyo lists, segments, and flows according to their own consent policy.
Shopify privacy webhooks
The app implements Shopify privacy webhook handlers for customer data requests, customer redaction, and shop redaction. Merchants can also contact support for operational questions about export or deletion workflows.
