This Privacy Policy explains how Bodanu Back in Stock processes merchant store data and shopper contact data when merchants install and use the app.

Data we process

Merchant data may include store domain, app settings, plan, product identifiers, variant identifiers, inventory state, notification templates, billing status, integration settings, and support communications.

Shopper data may include email address, browser push subscription data, wishlist visitor token, locale, notification preferences, unsubscribe token, click tracking token, delivery status, and product or variant context for the alert or wishlist item.

Why we process data

  • Collect back-in-stock signups from storefront product pages.
  • Send restock notifications when a subscribed variant becomes available.
  • Store wishlist demand and display shopper wishlist pages.
  • Display preorder availability for eligible products.
  • Provide reporting, delivery status, click attribution, and recovered revenue estimates.
  • Sync data to merchant-configured integrations such as Klaviyo.
  • Maintain app security, billing, abuse prevention, support, and legal compliance.

Data sharing

Data may be shared with infrastructure and notification providers used to operate the app, including hosting, database, queue, email delivery, browser push, analytics, and logging providers. Data is shared with Klaviyo only when the merchant connects Klaviyo. Data is shared with Shopify as required for app operation, billing, authentication, app proxy requests, and compliance webhooks.

Email and browser notifications

Restock emails include unsubscribe or preference links. Browser push alerts require browser permission and can be disabled in browser settings or through the app preference page when a preference link is available.

Data retention

Data is retained while a merchant uses the app. Some operational data may be retained after uninstall for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, backup recovery, and dispute resolution. Shopify privacy webhook requests are processed according to Shopify requirements.

Shopper controls

Shoppers can unsubscribe from notification emails, change notification preferences, or delete alert data using links included in notification emails. Merchants can export and delete subscriber and wishlist data from the app where available.
